6. Website Verification and Ownership
Before you can add a website to Grawlr for security scanning, you must verify that you own or have legal authority to test that website. This verification process helps protect both you and website owners from unauthorized testing. We use various verification methods, including domain ownership verification through DNS records, file uploads, or other authentication mechanisms.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have legal authority to test any website you add to the Service
- You have obtained all necessary permissions and authorizations
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- You will not use the Service to test websites you do not own or have permission to test
If you are testing websites on behalf of a client or employer, you must have explicit written authorization to do so. Agencies and service providers are responsible for ensuring they have proper authorization before adding client websites to the Service. We reserve the right to request proof of ownership or authorization at any time, and failure to provide such proof may result in removal of the website from your account.
7. Security Scans and Testing
Grawlr's security scanning technology uses advanced behavioral analysis and machine learning to identify vulnerabilities by simulating real-world attack patterns. Our system analyzes millions of attack patterns from actual botnets and threat actors to understand how cybercriminals operate, then applies this knowledge to test your websites.
Our security scanning service:
- Uses behavioral analysis and real-world attack patterns to test your websites
- Conducts automated security scans according to your subscription plan
- Generates reports based on detected vulnerabilities and threats
- Does not guarantee complete security or protection from all threats
- May temporarily impact website performance during active scanning
Scans are scheduled automatically based on your subscription tier. During active scanning, our system sends various test requests to your website to identify potential vulnerabilities. While we strive to minimize impact, scanning may temporarily increase server load or affect website performance.
You acknowledge that security testing is an ongoing process and that no system is completely secure. Our Service helps identify vulnerabilities, but it cannot guarantee that your website is completely protected from all threats. Security is a continuous effort that requires regular testing, monitoring, and remediation of identified issues.
